Lying to Myself

Walking in my mind
Seeing how life seems perfect
Everything fitting in its place
Having love my by side
Continuing to strive for more

Then the from the skies
Came a light that brought fear
A new day has begun
Time has shifted
And life has ended

The heart started to change
Love became a myth
Dreams were shattered
By words turned sour
And sleep was no more

By words of shadows
She doesn't want me anymore
Just wanting me to go
Angles cried
When she didn't love me anymore

And now I walk a path
Alone without a sound
Just silence that mocks my existence
Now that what was once was great
Is nothing but a dream

But there is something
A small bit of shadow
That makes me see myself
As the angles tell me
Not to believe her.

I want to thank Crüxshadows for inspiring me with their song "Go Away." It showed me a feeling I have been hiding inside me for a long time now. Maybe one day I get to see them live and actually thank them in person, till then the only way I can do it is by showing you how their music has come to influence me in my writing. By the way, as always I don't have a name for this one, so you guys know the drill I will be pestering all of you later on today to help me name it.
